 Today we got to read ‘The Yellow Wallapaper,’ each class had their own book and had to read it. After that you were supposed to answer some questions. We also got to watch it on youtube before class ended. It was a little short movie about a girl was was recovering from a depression and which her husband put her in a room with ugly yellow wallpaper with a pattern as well but there was something off about it. She then starts to see a shadow in the wall, she was really scared but her husband didn’t do much. One day she ended up going around and tearing up all the yellow wallpaper which then led to her husband checking up on her but she ended up locking her room and throwing  the keys out the window once he opened the door he sees all the torn up walls and his wife covered with what looked like blood and he falls to the floor..

 Today we worked on some questions in class about “I Want a Wife.” We all got to discuss about the questions as a class. One of the questions was Does this writer really want a wife as the tile suggests? Or is she trying to make another point? I think that she’s trying to make another point and explain how women are treated like they are inferior to men and so she says that she wishes or wants someone to fulfill her duties for her just like she does for her husband. I agree with that because she’s right I mean a marriage shouldn’t jus be a one person thing , I think as  a wife and husband you have to work together in the relationship and teamwork!

 We talked about feminism as a class, everyone in the class got to read  an article and we got to discuss about it as a class. We were saying how there are four key points to cultural feminism.We also got to read “I Want a Wife” by Judy Brady, where she was explaining how marriage is supposed to be a partnership and is not an ownership. She also explains how she’s a wife and also has kids. 

 Today we watched On the Way to school. It basically showed how kids from different countries travel to school. They introduced 4 kids , Jackson,Zahira,Carlos, and Samuel.I think it’s really fascinating how different everyone is in their country, it showed how kids have to walk hours and have more priorities like taking care of their siblings. It’s a very different lifestyle for everyone.

 Today we worked on the first page of the little packet we got assigned. We had a question about our journey to school , how we travel to school, who do we come with , how long does it take and what potential dangers do we face in our journey on the way to school. I usually wake up at 6:30 and I make sure to be out by 7:05 since I ride the bus and it comes at 7:15. It takes about 15 minutes to get to school because there’s also other stops. The potential dangers I fear is if the bus crashes because I know people are trying to get in their destinations either they can be  in a hurry or are just impatient.

 Today we worked on definitions in a book. We were supposed to write down words and their definitions. Some words was Fetish, finesse, and ferrets. I also found out that ferret doesn’t only mean an animal but it also means to search for something that is lost. I also go to learn other words that I didn’t know about.

 We continued to talk about careers, my teacher explained how it is important to know and how to be able to find what you want to do after high school. For the past week we have been talking about resumes and how you’d have to able to get in something you would want to do. I think although  I don’t wanna go to college it’s still important to have a plan b. We now have to do a resume and Mr.Rease showed us how it’s supposed to be setup and he was able to show the class how he did it , so now it’s our turn to do the same.

 Today in class we did more research about the career that was mostly recommended. Me and my classmates got to take this an interest assessment which helped us find a career that can interest us the most by asking questions. The top best carter match that I got is an administrative service manager. I then got different management occupations and i was interested in mostly in advertising, promotions, and marketing managers . 

 In class we talked about our future, we are on the verge of finishing high school and it’s our senior year. We have to think about what we want to do after high school. In class we talked about different  careers that there is and what interests us. On the website career one stop you can find out information about all the careers that there is, or if you want to find one it’s a good site to check out. Mr.Rease got to show me and my class the steps on how we can find a career that can interest us the most.
