 Today we took a test on Antojos. I felt good abt the test and I got a good score. I really enjoyed reading about the book , and reading it with my classmates. I think the book had a good meaning behind it and I think it was relatable in real life because for example a lot of people can be born in a different place and then move somewhere else but I think it’s always nice to go back to where you’re from and get to know more of it just how Yolanda did.

 12) A gift that was not well received was when I got a friend some flowers for her birthday.I feel like maybe she wanted even more so she was being ungrateful. It made me sad because it’s the thought that counts , and I still went out of my way to get her flowers. Flowers may not mean a lot to everyone but it does go me, so it sucked for her not to like it or give me the reaction I wanted..

 9) A secret of mine that was once revealed was my crush at that time. We all had crushes at some point and i remember in elementary I had a crush on a boy in my grade. I’d always see him around the playground at school, although he never paid attention to me. I ended up telling my friends but little did I know that the secret would be revealed. 

9) I apologize for what I did, I will not make that mistake again. We all do mistake and I believe you learn from each of them. Therefore I sat and reflected on what I did , and i genuinely do apologize for my behavior. I hope you can forgive me and see that i’m genuine about my apology and actions. I am willing to face the consequences for my actions and owning up to it as well , I hope you can forgive me.

 8) One thing I used to know how to do was a split. When I was younger maybe like 9 my mom would always take me outside. I’d always love to go outside because everyone in the apartments would always come out , we all basically knew each other. I remember i’d always go to the grass and show off my split. Now im 17 and I can’t do one anymore , but i’ve always told myself I was going to learn again, and I still have that hope!

 6)One time that I knew that I was in trouble was when I was in middle school and I was failing and I got a deficiency. When you get a deficiency you usually show your parents and they have to sign it. So I already knew I would be in trouble after my parents ask why they have to sign it. I wouldn’t even lie because the grade would be right there, so i jus had to take the consequences. 

Today me and my classmates got to present our assignment from the story Antojos. Everyone had different roles and in different roles. Some of the roles were like someone had to research anything interesting in the story. Another one would ask any  interesting questions, the final role was explain a quote in the story and its meaning which was my role. We all got to talk among each other and talk about the story.

 Me and my group got assigned a different task about the book Antojos that we read Monday. I got to explain different quotes from the book. One quote was about Yolanda being helped put by some men. Even though Yolanda  wanted to reward them , they didn’t want to take it.

 On Monday we got to read this story called ‘Antojos.’ We got split into groups of 3, me and my group each took turns to read. An antojo is a craving that you just must have. In the story there’s a character who had a antojo of guavas , which was also  her comfort food.

 5)I think I have too much junk food. Honestly I barely eat at home , and when I do i mostly eat junk food like chips, candy , etc. Don’t get me wrong I love vegetables and all but sometimes I can be a little lazy to make something. See I think it’s just easier to go to a fast food place or something and get something in just seconds !

 Something I can’t deny is me being “too nice.” Since I was little i’d always be friendly and nice to others.I can’t deny it though , sometimes I can be a little too nice. I just love to be able to spread positivity around. You never know what someone is going through and for you to just be a grumpy person. I personally enjoy making someone happy or even by just a  smile.

 I remember when my little sister was born, it was such a happy feeling for a big sister. I would always want a little sister, id always be alone and have no one to play with , which made me sad. I would always tell my parents that I wanted a little sister. next thing you know July 4, 2012 comes and my little sister is born. I love being the big sister and being able to look out for her and give her advice.

 Something I obsessed over and is probably meaning less, well to other people maybe, is the sky. I really love the sky , even if it’s something we all look at everyday. I love looking at sunsets, sunrises, rainbows and the clouds in general, especially when the sky turns into different colors like red, orange, purple, or sometimes pinkish. Sometimes I do think to myself why should I love the sky this much. I’ll stick to my meaning less obsession over the sky. :D

 A time where I dressed inappropriately was when me and my family went to an outdoor party and it was cold, I decided to wear a skirt and a crop top. I instantly regretted it when started shivering after 5 minutes of being outside. The worst part was me not having a sweater. Since I saw the sun was out I thought it’d be a hot, I guess I was wrong. Moral of the story for me was to check outside to be able to see what I should wear.

 Hispanic are people from central and South america and it includes the caribbean.Latino/Latina is someone from Latin america. There is a lot of stereotypes people can make to a hispanic or latino/latina without actually knowing.

 Today my classmates presented. I got to see about Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, and Honduras. I learned that in some places it can be pretty dangerous to travel over there. I also saw how each place is is very different, everyone has different traditions and different foods. Overall it’d be nice to visit one of those places in the future.

 Today in 7th period we talked about how to make an essay or what can help you to do your essay. For example we(the class) and the teacher filled out a cluster. A cluster can help you a lot when doing your essay, for example you have your topic in the middle
